Why Should I Care?

Dutch Elm Disease (DED) has already destroyed millions of Elm Trees througout the United States and is now targeting Utah. There is currently no known cure for DED. DED is a very aggressive disease that is almost always fatal for the Elm tree. This is only compounded by the cost to remove and dispose of infected trees.

That is why we need your help to reduce the impact of Dutch Elm Disease

  • There is currently no way for nature to stop the spread of the Dutch Elm Disease
  • Current preventative treatments are about 90% effective in stopping the loss of Elm trees to DED.
  • Early detection and knowledge is the key to helping reduce the impact of DED on the Utah Landscape.

Are My Elm Trees Infected?
